Can I verify any media? Or only media captured through Proofmode Capture?
Proofmode Verify, aka ProofCheck, can be used to inspect and analyze any kind of media file, and will look at a wide range of metadata formats, including C2PA, IPTC, and EXIF.
What data do you use to verify?
We use the digital signatures, timestamps, location info, device integrity and identity and other metadata including in the media and metadata files.
How can anyone trust the Proofmode app and captured file?
All of Proofmode's source code is free and open, and can be verified and audited by any third-party. In addition, our code and apps undergo compliance and professional auditing on a regular basis.
How can I control the privacy of my information with Proofmode?
Proofmode is a privacy-focused implementation, which gives you control of all the metadata that you include, how it is shared, and what identity you use.
