How to Take a Proofie in 3 Steps

1. Snap it. Install and open the Proofmode Capture app on your phone, activate the camera, and take a photo or video. That’s it! Proofmode automatically captures the where, when, and how right alongside your shot.

2. Sign it. In the background, Proofmode cryptographically signs your media using the open C2PA standard and notarizes it. Your Proofie now carries tamper-evident credentials that travel with it wherever it goes.

3. Share it. Post it, send it, publish it. LinkedIn supports the verification standard (c2pa) that Proofmode uses, so that is a great place to start. You can also post Proofie videos to YouTube (horizontal only for now), and it will show it was “Captured with a camera”. Otherwise, just share a “proof zip” as an email attachments, in a group chat, or through a cloud drive.
