The Hunt at Global Gathering 2025
Join the fun to defend reality against fakes by playing “The Hunt @ Global Gathering”, a multi-day photo and video scavenger hunt held around the Global Gathering 2025 in Estoril, Portugal.
Use the game card below to help you keep your eyes out for fountains, pastel (pasteis!) de nata, beach (praia), castles (castelos), football (futebol! players, balls, shirts, anything…), or art (gallery, street, classic, news, whatever!). When you find one, take a photo or video using any C2PA compatible app or device, and share your discovery through the official channels.
#1 rule: cryptographically verifiable pics or it didn’t happen!

HOW TO PLAY:
- Take photos or videos of the six items indicated on the game card using Proofmode, or any C2PA-compliant app or camera.
- Share the proof securely and privately through Signal or WhatsApp to +447886176827 or send/share via email or filesharing to hunt@proofmode.org - DURING THE WEEK OF THE GLOBAL GATHERING 2025.
- Wait for the game judges to officially verify and indicate if you are a winner!
Top THREE most-complete submissions win a shoutout to your organization/project/self on our public channels, and special prizes from the Proofmode team in-person at the Global Gathering.
PLEASE NOTE: All players should abide by the photo policy of the GG event, and only take photos or videos as permitted by the policies. In general, the hunt should be played outside of the GG space, in and around Estoril, Cascais, and the broader Lisbon area!
